 Find the length of the drawing in drawn unit.(Suppose you drawn the  drawing in centi meter and you get total length of drawing to print is  3560.that means length=3560 centimeter.
 Suppose you want to print it in 1:50 scale.Divide the total length with the scale.The result will be the paper size in drawn unit.(ie 3560/50=71.2 cm,So select a paper size have more than 71.2 cm

The size of septic tank depends on number of users and interval of sludge removal.The liquid capacity of tank is taken as 130 liters to 70 liters per head.

Parts of a Septic Tank.

Watertight tank,In let pipe, Baffle wall,Outlet pipe, Gas ventilation, Man hole, Bottom  floor slope etc are the elements to consider while constructing  a septictank.

Size of the tank

As per IS 2470 Septic tank shall have

minimum width of 75cm,

minimum depth of 1 metre below water level

minimum liquid capacity of 1 000 litres ( 1 m3).

For rectangular septic tanks, the length of the tank shall be 2 to 4 times the width.

For circular tanks the minimum diameter shall not be less than l-35 m and operating depth shall not be less than 1-O m.

Baffle Walls of Septic Tank

Septic tanks are split into two chambers. The chambers are divided by a baffle wall. Solids are retained in the first chamber, and liquids then pass through the baffle into the second chamber and on to the percolation areaBaffle walls are provided near the inlet. Baffle wall is placed at a distance of L/5 from the  in let wall, where L is the length of the wall. The baffle wall is generally extended 150mm above to scum level and 400-700mm below it. Thickness of the wall varies from 50mm to 100mm. for large tanks lower portion are having holes for flow of sludge.
the floor of septic tank is given a slope of 1:10 to 1:20 towards the inlet side. ie the floor of the outlet side will be on the higher elevation than the floor at inlet side.

One of the oldest types of art, woodcarving is an art-form common to all cultures, from the Stone Age on wards, not least because of its widespread availability, plasticity and low cost. Its only real drawback as a medium for sculpture is its perishability. Being water absorbent and vulnerable to insects and airborne fungi, wood can degrade quite rapidly. As a result, bronze, marble and other types of stone have been preferred for monumental works.Even so, wood was the principal type of African sculpture used to
produce masks, statuettes,religious objects and general decorative items. The medium was also widely used in Oceanic art for the carving of ceremonial canoes and other objects, as well as in the totem pole culture of American Indian art and in the Aboriginal art of Australia.

 Unfortunately, most of this type of ancient tribal art has perished. Wood carving was also common in Greek sculpture, although it was far less prestigious than ivory carving, and used mostly for small-scale works. During the 20th century, plastic art has used wood in a number of innovative ways, not least in the assemblage art of Louise Nevelson (1899-1988) and others, while 20th century folk art continues to depend on the medium.

PVC and polyurethane are thermoplastic materials that can be formed into a variety of shapes, including tubing and reinforced hose. Both materials are useful in numerous applications. But depending on factors such as temperature, chemical compatibility and plasticizer use, one product may perform better than the other in a particular application. PVC products
PVC or polyvinyl chloride is a thermoplastic polymer made by the polymerization of vinyl chloride. It is usually plasticized and has a wide variety of uses from coating electrical wires to siding. It is inexpensive and flame retardant although it gives of hazardous smoke.

PU (Polyurethane) products
 Polyurethane is formed from reacting a diisocyanate with polyols typically polyether or polyester polyol, although there are many others such as polybutadiene and soy or castor based polyols. It is also used in a wide variety of applications from soft elastomers to viscoelastic foams and rigid foams to very hard elastomers. It is much more expensive than PVC, but can be tailored to almost any application. Most polyurethanes burn readily, but fire retardants can be added.

Hoses are also sometimes called pipes (the word pipe usually refers to a rigid tube, whereas a hose is usually a flexible oneor more generally tubing). The shape of a hose is usually cylindrical (having a circular cross section).Hose design is based on a combination of application and performance. Common factors are Size, Pressure Rating, Weight, Length, Straight hose or Coilhose and Chemical Compatibility.

Types of Plumbing Pipes

Plastic pipes

Polyvinyl Chloride pipe (PVC): White or gray pipe used most often to carry high pressured water. Although it can’t be used with hot water, which can cause the pipe to warp, it’s often used for the main supply line into a home. PVC comes in sizes ranging from 1/2” to 4” in diameter, and it is inexpensive and very easy to work with

Polyethylene pipe(PE):It is a thermoplastic material produced from the polymerization of ethylene. PE plastic pipe is manufactured by extrusion in sizes ranging from ½” to 63″. PE is available in rolled coils of various lengths or in straight lengths up to 40 feet. Generally small diameters are coiled and large diameters (>6″ OD) are in straight lengths. PE pipe is available in many varieties of wall thicknesses, based on three distinct dimensioning systems:    
Grey Plastic Polybutylene pipe(PB): Gray or beige, usually sold in coils, this type of flexible pipe was used extensively from the late 1970s to the mid-1990s as an inexpensive replacement for copper. Over the years, however, PB has proven to be prone to leaks, which is why it’s not used much anymore.

Creamy Plastic Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride pipe (CPVC): Yellowish or beige in color, this is basically PVC pipe that has been given extra chlorination. More reliable than PB and less expensive and easier to install than copper, it can be used for cold and hot water supply. It’s more flexible than PVC but should not be buried, as it will split if it freezes.

Cross Linked Polyethylene pipe (PEX): This type of pipe is used extensively for interior plumbing in new homes. PEX resists heat much better than most plastic pipe so it’s often used for water-based heating systems.

High density polyethylene pipe (HDPE): This plumbing pipe is highly resistant to corrosion, flexible, and very long lasting, and can be used to carry everything from drinking water to compressed gas to hazardous waste. HDPE comes in long lengths, and joints are formed through heat fusion, eliminating leaks. It has unusually low resistance, or drag, making it a good choice for virtually all plumbing applications.
High density polyethylene pipe
Medium-density polyethylene (MDPE) :It is a type of polyethylene defined by a density range of 0.926–0.940 g/cm3. It is less dense than HDPE, which is more common.MDPE can be produced by chromium/silica catalysts, Ziegler-Natta catalysts or metallocene catalysts. MDPE has good shock and drop resistance properties. It also is less notch sensitive than HDPE. Stress cracking resistance is better than that of HDPE. MDPE is typically used in gas pipes and fittings
Medium-density polyethylene
Acrylonitrite-butadiene-styrene pipe (ABS): This is a black plastic drainage, waste, and vent pipe that was a forerunner to PVC and is currently prohibited by many current plumbing codes. However, this piping is not uncommon in mobile homes and usually needs to be replaced with PVC or HDPE.

Concrete cement pipes :It is very  expensive but non-corrosive by nature. Their advantage is that they are extremely strong and durable. However, being bulky and heavy, they are harder and more costly to handle, install and transport

Asbestos Cement Pipe:These pipes are used for drainage of rainwater from roofs, soil and waste and also for ventilation. They come in two profiles – one with beading around socket (WB) and the other without beading around socket (WOB). The latter type is more common than the former.The pipes come in lengths of 3 meters.The principal defects of these pipes are that they are heavy and they break easily.

Copper Pipe: This type of pipe is very reliable but expensive. Copper pipes are highly resistant to corrosion, tolerant of heat, and not prone to leaks, since the connections are soldered and fittings stay tight. Copper pipe comes in three sizes: M (very thin walls), L (medium thickness), and K (thickest walls). Types M and L are usually used for interior hot and cold supply lines, while Type K serves for underground service lines. Copper pipe’s biggest drawback is high price, which is why copper is gradually being replaced by more economical plastic pipe types.

Galvanized pipe:It is a zinc coated steel or iron pipe. This galvanized coating keeps the water from eating up the pipe. Because of the amount of work that goes into cutting, threading, and installing galvanized pipe it is not used in homes very often any more. Galvanized pipe is still considered a safe transport for drinking water and is still seen in larger commercial applications for water distribution.

Stainless Steel pipe: Not seen as often in household use, stainless steel pipes are strong and highly resistant to corrosion but even more expensive than copper pipes. They’re most often used in marine environments where saltwater would erode other metal pipes.

Masjid decoration
 The basic of  masjid decoration is dome ,tomb and arch. As far as the architectural decoration was concerned in Islamic architecture, plaster, patterned brickwork and tile were used as “decorative media.”Splendid molded mihrab facings composed of “columnar bands of Quranic inscriptions” were used for tiles. Tiles in various shapes were fitted together into wall panels. “Timurid architecture featured mihrab coverings of brilliant tile mosaic,
in which the i ndividual colours were fired separately to achieve their fullest intensity.” Tiles became so prominent an element of decoration in the Islamic architecture that tile industry was established in Turkey and Iran in the 15th century, and while new buildings received elegant tile settings, even the older buildings were redecorated with tiles.  These tiles were in gold and green and different colours were blended together in patterns. Other examples of decoration in Islamic architecture comprised woodcarving used on mimbars, doors and windows. Stone reliefs and marble inlays could be found in Spain, Turkey and Egypt.

In addition to melting the base metal, a filler material is often added to the joint to form a pool of molten material (the weld pool) that cools to form a joint that can be as strong as the base material. Pressure may also be used in conjunction with heat, or by itself, to produce a weld.

 
Some of the best known welding methods include:

  • Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) – also known as “stick welding”, uses an electrode that has flux, the protectant for the puddle, around it. The electrode holder holds the electrode as it slowly melts away. Slag protects the weld puddle from atmospheric contamination.
  • Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) – also known as TIG (tungsten, inert gas), uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to produce the weld. The weld area is protected from atmospheric contamination by an inert shielding gas such as Argon or Helium.
  • Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) – commonly termed MIG (metal, inert gas), uses a wire feeding gun that feeds wire at an adjustable speed and flows an argon-based shielding gas or a mix of argon and carbon dioxide (CO2) over the weld puddle to protect it from atmospheric contamination.
  • Flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) – almost identical to MIG welding except it uses a special tubular wire filled with flux; it can be used with or without shielding gas, depending on the filler.
  • Submerged arc welding (SAW) – uses an automatically fed consumable electrode and a blanket of granular fusible flux. The molten weld and the arc zone are protected from atmospheric contamination by being “submerged” under the flux blanket.
  • Electroslag welding (ESW) – a highly productive, single pass welding process for thicker materials between 1 inch (25 mm) and 12 inches (300 mm) in a vertical or close to vertical position.

Differences between Italian  Suites and Their ApplicationsWater closets are either S trap or P trap. These two features trap a small amount of water to prevent the backflow of sewage gases into the water cosset and finally back to the room creating a bad odor and allowing bacterial into the room.Traditionally, most toilets were the S type.  Italian S trap water Closet has an S shaped plumb fitting just below the water closets.  This plumb fitting traps water in the S shape after much of the water has gone down the drain.   
This water acts as a sealant and prevents flow of sewage gases back to the closet. Due to its S shape, this design creates a siphoning effect which sometimes drains all the water in the S trap. Thus S trap toilets are being replaced by P trap which does not have siphoning effects.P trap toilets have a U shaped plumb fitting followed by a 90 degree bend. The two fittings create a P shaped structure just below the water closest. The P shaped has been carefully engineered to prevent the siphoning effects and the water trapped is permanently there. Most S traps are currently being replaced with P trap.
