LED-Light Emitting Diode

LED (Light Emitting Diode) bulbs are the most eficient bulb.It can work for 50000 hours, under the specified temperature range. They use about 8-11 watts of power to replace a 60-watt incandescent with at least 806 lumen and 9.5 watts for a 75-watt equivalent.

CFL bulb-Compact fluorescent light

A fluorescent lamp or a fluorescent tube is a low pressure mercury-vapor gas-discharge lamp that uses fluorescence to produce visible light.Fluorescent lamps come in many shapes and sizes. The compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) is becoming more popular.

(CFL) is a more energy efficient and longer lasting light bulb. CFL bulb can fits into regular light sockets.CFL light bulbs use about only 20 % of the energy of regular light bulbs.Lasting of CFL bulbs are 10 times longer than regular incandescent bulbs.In case regular incandescent bulb 90 % of energy is used to produce heat and 10 % of energy to produce light.But in CFL bulb no heat is produced.So it is a great tool against global warming.

Sodium vapor lamp

A sodium-vapor lamp is a gas-discharge lamp that uses sodium in an excited state to produce light at a characteristic wavelength near 589 nm.There are two varieties of such lamps: low pressure and high pressure.Usage :sodium-vapor lamps are used for outdoor applications such as street lights garden and gate.

Halogen lamp

A halogen lamp, also known as a tungsten halogen, quartz-halogen or quartz iodine lamp, is an incandescent lamp consisting of a tungsten filament sealed into a compact transparent envelope that is filled with a mixture of an inert gas and a small amount of a halogen such as iodine or bromine.
